Fellas I got a couple set up's...but since the rut is starting to kick in, or pre-rut, what kind of set ups are you guys hunting..

i Know there not as predictable as they once were, but where are you guys setting up at...over food, crick bottoms, rub lines, scrape, field edges ....

just want to get a good sense of what everyone is doing ....give me some ideas....I use my climber most of the time, so im just going to move from location to location, since most woods i hunt, i dont hunt two nights in a row...unless i fell needed..

    One last thing...

Are you guys seeing alot of chasing or what?.....because i thought for sure sunday morning would be a day to remember...and the only thing i remembered from the morning hunt, was my buddy falling in the woods...trying to be quite before dark..i swear if we didnt spoke up anything climbing up our tree...he sure did the jog when he feel...haha it was awesome...

thanks bud for spoking all the deer out of this county..haha

Now is fun time of year to hunt for me, because the bucks can still think clearly, meaning they have started chasing full time yet nut there testosterone has definitely peaked.

I'm one of the hunters who strongly believes the full moon triggers the rut (and that is tonight) so it's sure to be rockin soon.

Right now I like hunting the fringes of doe bedding areas. In my experience I have seen several bucks cruising this time of year down wind of doe groups and bedding areas simply checking scent checking the does' estrous level.

I'll also hunt food plot edges and primary trails CLOSE to bedding areas (again, the big bucks can still think clearly) because the bucks will still want to hang around close cover but want to get an idea or the estrous level of the does.
