Long story short. I loved phantom broadheads, later muzzy phantoms. Since jumped around and last year I even tried an over the top mech for more blood. Shoulder shot the biggest buck I’ve ever seen from a tree. Never again . So this year going with Simmons mako or steelforce phathead ss. Simmons flys great but does that curve hurt penetration? Chopping a bit? Haven’t shot phathead ss but wondering about resharpening. Does the main blade come out of ferrule? So many questions. Anybody have experience with these heads? Pic was the buck

Have no idea on those heads. But many deer die to mechs and fixed Bh’s. Shoot what you have confidence in and tune the head to your setup. Anytime a BH didn’t work for me it’s bc I made a bad shot.

I never saw where I hit but pretty sure it wasn’t good. So going back to what I have confidence in. Thinking the steelforce is my next head.

reason i asked about the steelforce blade removal is because id like to get a stay sharp jig to resharpen them but dont know which jig to get. i think blade removal matters.

Contact stay sharp he will “guide you” pun intended, to the right jig.
