So when one consultant designs 2 different bows for two different companies, this is what happens.

I don't know how all these new companies are going to stay in business. I know the archery industry has grown nearly 77% in the past couple of years but, when will it stop? How many bow companies will make it? Will it drive prices down? Will the new companies sale cheaper just to move bows like Hyundai and Kia did at first in the car industry then move up in price later? I guess we will just have to see huh?

Bows are way overpriced.take a 1200 dollar bow and shoot it one season and your lucky if it is worth half of what you paid for it new. The market is in need of a correction if you ask me.

Obsession makes great bows, I see them doing pretty well. The only problem is like said above, there all overpriced no matter which company you buy from.

I couldn't agree more. My $1000.00 Centroid is 3 model years old now. I'd be lucky to get $350-$400 bare for it.

You don't have to shoot it one season for the value to plummet, just walk out the door of the shop with it.

bows, like cars, are not investments. In fact, they are very much like cars in many ways.
A brand-new Vette will take you from A-B, and extremely quickly; as will a V8 Camaro. The Vette will run you twice much. Both will drop about 30% from sticker price the moment you walk out the door with one. They are produced by the same parent company. One is a Corvette. One enjoys the reputation as being the poor man's Corvette.

Same as bows. A Mathews Monster Chill will shoot ridiculously fast. It will cost you around a $1000. A Mission Ballistic will also shoot very fast. It will cost you about $600. They are produced by the same parent company. One enjoys the reputation as being "the best." One enjoys the reputation as being the poor man's Mathews.

The herd is large and overfed. Some calamity, whether predator or disease, will soon bring the population back into check.:tu:

    Fitz,

I couldn't agree more it seems a new company is showing up monthly now and you hear about them for a month or two and then they disappear.
