Hope he finds him, definitely not ideal weather for tracking a deer.

    Terrible tracking weather.

Last word was that him and a buddy were getting back on the trail. The deer went at least 200 yards so far.

Trailed him for about 400 yards, at this point we are just suspecting a glancing shot or at most a muscle shot. I will take all the blame for this one, combination of a rookie mistake taking a mediocre shot and just being caught up in the moment. All the blood trail consisted of of was a few drops every fifty yards or so.

Lets emphasize rookie mistake, though you have killed 6 deer already with your bow. 40 yard shots from the ground are a no-no.

Make it happen! Good Luck. Aim for the heart. Tracking will be a Pita in the rain.

Tonight ended with me bumping two deer on the way out. Isaac had 3 button bucks come into his setup. A few other local guys only saw some does and button bucks as well.

If its not raining cats and dogs in the morning, ill be out.

As a side note...deer have been spotted chasing around NE Ohio. I do believe the rut is starting.

First light has come and gone. Pretty quiet so far. I did hear a quad on the neighbors property.

Its a perfect morning to rattle. Extremely calm and quiet. No rain or wind (or squirrells).

    Still nothing from stand though
