Mass Air Flow Sensor kicked on the check engine light today. It's an 04 so I'm hoping it's not bad. I want to clean it before I go and replace the darn thing.

Can anyone take a picture of theirs and post it? I know I can find diagrams of them, but they're not the same. Any help would be greatful. Thanks.

No diagram, but there is a product made by CRC that you can buy made specifically for cleaning MAF's, you should be able to get it from Autozone for around $10 a can. I'm sure you know, but ABSOLUTELY be very careful in there, those wires in the MAF are very fragile, break them and your gonna be out some $$$$.

That's why I was looking for a picture. I have the MAF can cleaner for a whopping $7.00, but I have no idea where to apply the cleaner.

I mine as well take it to a buddy's and start drinking until we fix it or break it...:bash:

When you take it off the truck there should be a thin wire running through the center of it. You need to spray off that wire. Those things are real finicky, something as small as pollen can make them give a false read.
