I signed the deal on my first lease today, all to myself, all 25acres of it...:D I had a co-worker approach me with the offer, he lives out of state and wasn't going to hunt it this year... and He shoots nothing but big bucks, he let an 18" wide 8pnt walk last year... only to get shot by the neighboring property, but at least they're there! After agreeing on a price...(he was a little steep for 25 acres Minus spring gobbler) We made up a few papers exchanged some cash, and it's done! Never really had a place to call my own, hunting related, that is. I'm pretty pumped up about it, I'm loving the little field surrounded by woods, which holds 4 apple trees, where a camera will go up this coming up week. He did forwarn me about some neighbors that get a little too comfortable, which I'll start with some fresh POSTED leased land signs... and go from there. So here you go map guys.... hook me up with your insights! I'll to get a topo up too If Gri22 show up. :D Here's a topo, you can kinda use the curve in the road as a guide.
It's down here, in My county actually, about 20 min. away. That place I hunt in Franklin Co. is planted in beans this year... Might just have to slip off a day or two, see whats going on there, If I do, I'll holler at you.
Very cool, Aaron .... now ..... KILL ... that place looks very promising to me ... it is a funnel between two fields and there are funnel areas within it .... when does your season start??
Congrats, I love hunting my lease. The only problem with my lease is its 4 hrs away. Next season I am hoping to add one closer to the house.
Very nice, congratulations on the find, wish I could find a suburb over in Md for exclusive bow rights.
Congrats on that and good luck. Hope it's the start of something great for you. Blessings......Pastorjim
