I've been eyeing up a new sight and the 2 right now that stand out are the Apex Atomic & Viper H500. Any body use these, have any thoughts on them? Keeping it simple, 4 pin(or 5) 019 well built & BRIGHT.

I have the Apex Atomic. I have been pretty happy with it so far except the pins could be a little better built. I have dragged it through some serious hunting this year and it has held up well. The site hasn't come loose once since I put it on my bow.

How much do you want to spend Rybo? Is it going to be purely for hunting? From what I see on the market right now, the Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg-It with a wrap, and the new Axcel Armortech are IMHO the cream of the crop. I've got the Spot Hogg, and will likely get an Armortech too in the near future. I've seen and handled the Armortech and it's nothing short of top notch at first glance.

I'd also seriously consider waiting for the ATA show. It's only a few weeks away, and I'd bet you will some new ones introduced there. They do every year, and you may see some "latest greatest" model come out.

RJ, that Axcel sight looks to be pretty stout. Does it come with a hefty price tag as well? I am interested to say the least.

And of course, any Spot Hogg is hard to beat.

I believe Copper John is coming out with something new this year as well.

Tough choice Rybo, but I have heard a lot of hunters using Viper sights, haven't heard much about Apex as of yet.

Seriously, like RJ stated, you might want to wait till after the show to see what else could be released to the market.

The one feature I am going to be looking for in my next sight is a slow-moving level bubble. The one that I have on my Cobra Sure-Loc Sidewinder now moves way to fast for any cant adjustment I would make during the execution of the shot.

I will wait & see what comes out from the show, but typically I don't jump on things real soon, so I figured I could get some background on these 2 models.

It will be purely hunting, & I refuse to spend over $100, I'd prefer to keep it around $60-80.

    Thanks for the input guys
