Need a little advise. When sighting in, my 20&30 yd pins are so close im having a hard time putting the 30 pin where i want it. It could just be me & recently started wearing glasses.

I just can't get the accuracy as i do with the 20. I know i could aim high with my 20 but worry on a deer that I will forget with the excitement.

    Any thoughts??

I would make your 20 yd pin your 25. use it for 20 and 30

Any way to move your sight farther from the riser? That will increase pin gap

Mine are like that as well they are extremely close but sense I'm already sighted in and season is so close I don't want to mess with it till after season

You could shoot a heavier arrow. It would move your sight pins further apart and as an extra bonus would also increase penetration potential.

If your that close at 20/30 why not just make them 25 35

Deer never (seldom) stop at the exact yardage your pins are set at anyway so it's good to practice at random yardages since you'll likely need to gap shoot anyway if you have fixed pins.

But there are several good ideas above...

Only real options are to change your pin ranges to increase the gap, or change to a single pin slider.

I wouldn't worry about changing either, as long as the bow is tuned changing is pretty easy and quick to setup.

You could go to a single pin? Have you tried one?
If that don't work go to 15 and 30.

Thanks guys! I like the idea of 15 & 25. That might work well. I don't mind shooting more, but I've already had to put an old target behind my current one to prevent pass throughs. No worries

Jesse - i only have three pins but ours would be interchangeable!!

I did the 25,35,45,55,65 & the top of my level is 75. I chose 25 because 25 outs me dead center 20 is about 1.5" high & 30 is about 1.5" low. Which 20-30 would be most of my shots. Then I put remembrance tape on the raiser in the line of sight to remind me.

I need to try this as well. Have same issues. Mostly older eyes.

It would have been cheaper for you to stay with 20 and 30 yard pins and take your chances. Those Robin Hoods get expensive. Best of luck this season.

I wouldn't spend the cash on a single pin until you could borrow one or shoot a bow with it. I went with an HHA and didn't like it. I eneded up going back to a 5 pin. It wasn't the sliding part that bothered me just the pin itself just wasn't working for me for what ever reason.
