I know this has probably been discussed some where but i can not find it. I have always shot a 5 pin with 019 fibers and never had a problem. This year i have got a new setup and having difficulties with the sight. The pins are close together due to the speed, and was wondering if going to 010 size pins will help. I have flirted with the thought of a single pin and read all i can find about the switch but just cant get comfortable with the thought of having to dial in for a shot. anyone with more experience than myself that can offer any insight?
Pins would be still be gapped the same. Extending the sight from the riser would help increase the gap without changing the bows settings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maxpetros is correct if you want to increase the pin gap a moving the pins farther away will help. The problem with moving to .010 pins sizes will be light gathering. They get darker faster and if you are in a state that does allow sight lights that could be problematic. If your gap is small then you are a good candidate for a single pin. Just practice with it and get used to checking your dial to verify yardage. Also adjusting the pin has to be with in your thought process if need be. Good luck and I hope you get it worked out.
thanks for the in put i have really been thinking about the hha 5519 but just worried about getting used to it before season that starts in a few weeks how long did it take to make the change and be comfortable
I just switched to the same sight this year. So far no regrets and I have killed a few hogs with it but I kept my fixed pin sight just in case.
I switched to a hha 3019 about 2 months ago and can honestly say I'm shooting groups from 40 to 60 yard that I never thought I'd be capable of. The clean sight picture you get with the single pin is amazing and adjusting the sight is second nature after a short time shooting it. Hope this helps
how does it set on the bow does it throw off the balance i have read that the sights from hha are heavy
