I am/trying sighting in my Diamond Bow. I have only 3 pins on my sight, what would anyone recommend I set the yardage at with only 3 pins? and as far as moving pins, you move the way the arrow goes correct? (if shooting high, move pin up? is shooting left move pin left?) how do you know if I need to move the arrow rest, or nocking loop or peep sight (attached to string)? Everything was set up on the bow when I got it, it was a ready to shoot package. so hopefully it is just sighting in the pins only. any help on this would be great, thank you
I'm gathering you're a beginning shooter, so set your TOP pin for 10 yards. Then 20, then either 25 or 30. As you practice and get better, you can sight them in for 20, 30 and 40. But till you get the hang of it, stay close. Yes, you chase the arrow with your pin. Shooting high, raise the pin. Low? Lower it. Right? Move it to the right. Left? Move it to the left. Before you sight in, you really need to make sure the bow is tuned. In other words, your arrows are coming off level and in centershot. That is to say, your rest is centered and your arrow doesn't come off tail right or left. Sounds like you may need to head to a pro shop and get some instruction (and I apologize if I underestimate your experience level) from someone who is in the know. They can also help you tune your bow.
