Here's a few pictures. The last three are two groupings where I'm aiming directly between the bottom two targets. Hope this helps.
Just a quick note, I know I'm supposed to bend at the waist instead of at my shoulder like I am in the picture...
Alright, I adjusted my nock, peep, and re-leveled my rest, got my 20 yard pin sighted in and am shooting less than 2" groups. Only one issue left. I'm concerned my fletching is rubbing against my shelf because of how low I had to move my rest to level my arrow. It doesn't seem to be affecting my flight or groups, and I've had my bowsmith watch me shoot who says he doesn't see anything wrong with my arrow's flight. I'll post pictures of how it is now with an arrow nocked and a picture of my shelf where I think it's rubbing tomorrow.
My concern when I read ^^ this is that your arrow is now well below the mounting hole for your rest. Looking from the side, does your arrow appear to be in-line with that mounting hole or is it below? If below then it sounds like your nocking point on the string and the arrow rest needs to go up. Setting up your bow, the initial goal is to have your arrow lined up with that rest mounting hole, then the nocking point on the string usually puts your arrow at a 90 degree angle or preferably up to 1/8" higher. Have you used a bow square or just eye-balling the 90 degree angle?? Given this with your initial problem of shooting way high, if your nocking point on the string was way too low and not at least close to that 90 degree angle then you were likely launching your arrows up, giving you that crazy high group. Looking at your pictures of your anchor point it's always been my opinion to have the main knuckle of my index finger into the rear of my jaw bone and the tip of my nose touching the string to give me 3 consistent points including my eye looking through the peep. This helps when shooting downward angles because if you do not bend at the waist your nose will come off the string.
No, my arrow is considerably lower than my berger hole when nocked. I was having other problems with my sight "jumping" off my bow for the last week so I went to my proshop about it yesterday. He watched my form and purposly overtightened the lateral adjustment set screw on my sight body so the ear would snap. After that he gave me a new, all metal, sight to have for free then sighted it in with me. He checked my arrow's levelness with a bow square and watched me send five arrows to his target and didn't see any flight disturbances.
Surprised he has it set up so much lower than your berger hole. Usually that's the start and the nock end of the arrow is adjusted up and down. Fine tuning can be with the rest but that's usually after the big adjustments are made on the nock end. Maybe someone else can add or guide us??
We had to make MAJOR adjustments to bring my grouping down, I was originally hitting about 18" up at ten yards, now I'm putting them dead center at 20. And Ben, I'm not sure what he's using exactly, but he hooked his level onto my string and checked for square using that. This shop came very highly recommended by over a dozen bowhunting friends with a combined experience of over a hundred and fifty years. I did have a very close call with a jake today, he spooked right as I released my arrow and I completely missed him...
