I just came back from the range. I cranked up my bow from 40lb to 45lb and now have a target question. I was shooting 3 to 4 inch groups in the center before my cranking up the power. If I shoot as I normally do, I'm a bit high and to the left of dead center. I didnt' feel like playing with the sight so I shot slightly low and to the right of center and the shots were grouped in the center. Which way should I adjust the sight and I was shooting at 20 yards and using the center pin of my 3 pin sight. Could this just be me torqueing the bow due to the added pull? Thanks for another newbie question.
Shooting high would be normal after increasing your draw weight. To compensate for the increase... FOLLOW THE ARROW and move your sight pin (in this case) UP. Personally, I'd shoot a few times after that adjustment to see if your arrows are still hitting left of your Point of Aim. If they are grouping left... then again, follow the arrow = move your sight housing to the left. Another option would be to see if your top pin would now be sighted in for 20 yards. Let us know how you make out
chase the arrows with your sight. if you're high, raise the pin, if you're hitting right, move the windage right. if you're low, lower the pin, if you'r left, move the windage left.
