For those who have used a Sig Kilo rangefinder - does it work in the rain, snow and/or fog? I have a Bushnell Legend (top of their line in 2003) that never worked in the rain/snow/fog. I got my use out of it and am thinking of replacing it and making my buddy's kid smile.

Also, how are the optics? Can I get by of using it from a tree stand instead of carrying binos? I see the Kilo 850 is 4x-20mm, so I would guess it's better than the 1250 (6x -20mm) in low light. But I loose some magnification if I want to use it as bino. Anyone compare the side by side?

The sheer nature of any laser rangefinder makes them unreliable during rain/fog conditions. Doesn't matter what brand it is.
