Looking for a side bar to mount on my Mathews Triax. What stabilizers do you use and why? Thanks!

I use Bee Stinger Sport Hunters, 8 on front and 6 on back. I basically use it because they’re popular/readily available.

I shot this setup on my PSE Bow Madness Epix (32” ATA) and now use it on my Elite Option 6 (32” ATA also). I originally used the 6” bar up front on my PSE Premonition HD (31” ATA). When I went to the longer bows, I had to switch to 8” up front to slow my pin float. After adding a long, heavy sight, I needed to add back stabilization to counter the sight. I ended up playing with the rear weight to get good balance. I wanted to keep the silhouette fairly compact for these shorter bows.

What stabilizer do you have on the front now, if any?

Really, it just depends on how the balance feels. Ask yourself questions like this:
Is the pin float slow and small? (More for front stabilizer)
How quickly is the sight picture framed once you reach full draw?
Do I have to “work” to balance the bow and level your sight bubble?
Is the bow balanced after the shot?

That may be all you need unless you have a heavy sight or shoot with your quiver on.

You can probably make do with a counter slide, maybe something like a bee stinger microhex

Got a 10” micro hex out front and got a 8” sport hunter extreme out back but that is going to get replaced with a micro hex very soon. 1 oz out front and 4 oz out back

I have a 10 on front and a 8 on back. Couldn't believe the difference it made in balance

I just took mine off for hunting lol but I use a 10 and 8" bee stinger setup. Love it for 3D. Hate it for hunting..

I use a bee stinger counter slide
i got it relatively cheap. and allows me to balance my bow pretty well, and it stays out of the way.

PJ Reily @ Lancaster had some good advice on this one. He says for every ounce up front add two to the back is a good starting point. I run a 8 inch beestinger up front with 3 ounces and 6 inch on back with 7 ounces. Seems to set dead in the hand after the shot and my groups are 2 inches @ 40 yds. Took some time to play around with it and find the "just right" weight distribution.
