I know there's not many hockey fans floating around here. But, is it going to be a short career for one of the best young talents ever in the NHL? Crosby was out for 10 months with a concussion. Came back and is out again indefinitely with concusion like symtoms. The scary thing is he didn't even take a blow to the head. In fact it was hardly a hit when he collided with his own teamate. Not exactly the game to be playing if you're that prone to concussions. Pains me to say it as a Ranger fan, but I hope he can make it back. The league isn't the same with him out.
I'm a huge hockey fan. It's never a good thing seeing a young star of any sport that's got a good head on their shoulders have a possible career ending Injury. Concussions are one of those things you just never know what the outcome will be.
Hate to see it happen.....his type doesn't come along too often! Hope he comes back for the good of the sport!
Being in Pittsburgh Sid's noggin gets "almost" as much news coverage as the Steelers. I really hope he doesn't turn out to be a sad story of a career cut short by being prone to concussions. It's a shame when that happens to certain athletes regardless of talent level, but when you have one of the game's premier superstars, it really has an impact. Right now there are 3 Pens out of the line up with concussions.
This is a tough story for any sports fan. I dont follow hockey as much as football, but definetly like watching it. It will be a huge loss for the league to lose him. Plus what a sad thing for a young guy entering his prime if he has to hang up the skates.
Yeah he is going to be out for good, thats too bad, great talent! The league was fine before him and will be fine after he is gone! I for one am getting sick of hearing about it, he is done, move on!
Personally I think that he instilled some life into the NHL that was much needed. Without him, the NHL will go back to being viewed as an league that few people in the US care about, like the NBA.
