Good luck to you. I've been through plenty of back problems and sciatic issues as many have. Do what the doctors tell you and don't push it.

DON'T LET THEM CUT INTO YOU!
Sorry to hear you tweaked your back. I've got a couple of herniated disc myself.

Find a good Chirprator and let him work on you. It will take a few weeks but don't let any witch doctors cut into you. You body will heal itself just don't keep re injuring it. Let it heal. Buy a nice back brace and wear it for 30min or so at a time.

Feel better. Sit in a tree stand:). It's a mental thing as well. Happy thought will heal you quicker.

Everyone is different! I had back surgery last May on my L5....best thing I have ever done. Tried the Chiropractors....they about killed me...lol. It depends on your injury to be honest. Good luck...I feel for you.

Good luck. Nothing worse than back pain. Unless you have been through it, there is just no comprehending how terrible it is. Hope you have a fast recovery that does not require surgery.

This... At least don't go under the knife until a Chiro tells you to.

My husband has arthritic degeneration of the spine. About two years ago, it affected the sciatic nerve, especially to his left leg. The pain was so bad, for a few days I had to carry his briefcase to court for him. He started using a cane. We talked to a doctor and researched it. Apparently in about 90% of the cases, the pain gradually goes away on its own. He recommended ibuprofen to help with the pain while we waited. And in fact, it did gradually go away. He's back to normal now.

That's how chiropractors can make some money off this. They give you "treatments" and the pain gradually goes away and you think the chiropractor was responsible. If it doesn't, they tell you to see a doctor. I apologize if I offended any chiropractor fans here, but that's the truth.

But you really should wait before undergoing any surgery and see if it goes away. I think most doctors would tell you this, but some are anxious to get out the tools.

Word... A gallon ziplock bag with a damp dish towel folded in to it. Remove all air and freeze. Mold it to fit your back (low back for me) Lay on the ice bag with hips and knees bent to 90 degrees each and rest your feet in a chair. This flattens your spine and the cold works wonders on the inflamation. I have shown people this who were headed for surgery who said they were pain free in two or three days and who never had to have surgery. Try it... the towel should be just damp enough to last 15-20 minutes.

That can help a lot. We used a big bag of frozen peas.

I had to go in to the doctor for back pain yesterday. Lower back seized up like heck 5 days ago to the point I was crippled. Getting an MRI soon. Not fun at all.
