With the season coming up I am going to give a go this year and see what I can find.
Help me out here and tell me what I need to do to find them.

Look around the bases of dead Elm trees! When you find them, cut them off at the bases, leave the "stump" of the shroom in the ground, they usually come back in the same areas if you leave "spores" in the ground!

Not really, I found them in sunlight on the sides of hills! My archery club is a goldmine for Morels! I love it!

Elm trees is correct. I've always had more luck searching around Elm trees that are dead but still have the bark on the tree.

Here is what works for me. I look for an area loaded with sycamore trees,,,find where the majority of the leaves landed and it may be 60-70 yards from the trees. Thats where most of my schrooms are found.

If you cut the bases of and crumble them and then broadcast them at your feet where you find them you will seed them for next season.

How do you guys cook them? we just flour and fry in butter.
