I don't worry about it, I generally just roll in a nice green cow pie for cover scent. Works great but it makes the meat taste like sh*t.

I try to to scent shower every time but i have had successful hog hunts with no shower. I have also had a successful deer hunt after sweating profusely on the way to my spot on an evening hunt; but the wind was on my side.

If I am in a hurry for some reason a shower will not happen. Hopefully the wind stays in my favor is all I can say on those days.

I forgot to mention this as well, I have my separate "hunting" towels that I keep in my scent free bag.

Although I can't eliminate my scent I like to believe it could buy me an extra second if the were to shift.

When we are at my friends camp in Ohio, we never shower because there is no water there yet. We take what my mom called "whores baths", which is just washing the smelly areas. But we do it with unscented baby wipes because as I said, no water. It's a pain to haul enough in for drinking, cooking, AND bathing just for a weekend. So we don't. We are very careful about wind direction and enter/exit routes from our stands.

I do a fair amount of afternoon sits where I go straight from the office to the stand, so none of those get a pre-hunt shower. Other than that I try to shower before each sit. Morning hunts it's usually not an issue. I'd say I'm 50/50 on afternoon sits. Sometimes I just don't have the time. A good wipe down with a Dead Down Wind field wipe and some clean clothes and off I go.

I will typically shower before a hunt to help with scent control. Like others have mentioned I have a towel and luffa I keep in a scent free bag during the season so it doesn't smell like fabric softener or scented soaps.

In the early season when it's warmer I also carry a small pack of field wipes and a rag to wipe my head and arms down once I get to the stand and cool off from the walk in.

I won't lie I believed this to be a reply generating device. I assumed everyone got scent free for bow season everyday and in everyway. But I was wrong. To each their own I guess.... Stinky b@stards

Situation dictates but worst cases scenario I have a bag of those scent free towelette things and wipe down with them really good. Especially if its warm out.

Wind and thermals are what prevent a deer from smelling a hunter. There is no such thing as a scent free hunter to the nose of a deer. At deer camp I shower in the evening after I've been out hunting all day as that is when I'm really dirty and smelly.

In those instances I do like the old timers and smoke my clothes over the fire. Better than 3 or 4 days of epi-nasty funk with nothing to mask it. I would carry some unscented wet wipes w me and call that a bath

I'll shower the night before but camping out and hunting in central Florida you are going to sweat no matter what. best bet is to play the wind.

I will shower 90% of the time before I head out. If I'm trying to sneak in after work, sometimes I don't have time to shower. I use the scent free stuff and spray down before I head to the stand.
