He should have at least saved the cape and sold it. :)

It's a great buck. Congrats to your friend.

It's all about what you like. I am getting a Euro mount done this year and I am as excited about it as I have been with my other mounts (plus I get it back in less than a month instead of the better part of a yaer).

As a side note, Chuck Adams had a world record elk Euro mounted.

    Congrats to your friend Jeff!

Wow that PA velvet buck has to be the craziest thing I've ever seen. We started in October!

    Rybo....

Another friend here shot a buck December 5th (11-pointer) still in full velvet.

Crazy stuff. I'm guessing that buck was never going to shed (velvet OR antlers).

I am going to bring this thread back from the dead to post up a few pics of a bow kill my buddy made.

He shot this buck around November if I remember right but never found it. He searched his butt of and was bummed that he never found it. It seems he pretty much gave up for the season because of it.

A couple days before season was over he was out shed hunting and noticed a rack that appeared to be floating. As he walked over he noticed it was a dead buck that looked familiar. He lifted the head and there laid his arrow.

After calling the game warden to make everything legal he took it to the taxi where they told him they wont touch it because it "stunk" to bad. So he did the euro his self.

    UPDATE....

I resurrected this from a previous page. Seems (as of this past weekend), you're looking at the new NC State typical Archery Whitetail.

    Couldn't be happier for him.

Congrats to your buddy. That is a heck of a buck and a great accomplishment.
