I very much respect and appreciate this guy for serving our country but was he for real taking a weapon into Mexico without knowing for sure if it was allowed or not? I understand he asked the boarder patrol but still, wouldn't you find out that info before you headed into MEXICO? http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...n-on-jailed-marine-point-finger-at-us-border/
Yea, kinda stupid but he did declare it before and after he entered, from what I understand. This was an attempt by the Mexicans to extort money imo. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
While I think of him as a fellow brother in arms, even brothers make stupid decisions. I would have never considered trying to take a firearm into mexico, even if I thought I was within the legal limitations. Bad call on his part, we all know mexico's judicial system is as f-ed up as a football bat, wouldnt have tried it...
That's what I was thinking. Mexico is still one place I don't need to go to for that reason. I feel for the guys. I know he wanted an unforgettable vacation, well now he's got one
That type of situation is the exact reason I could never be a person in charge of resources here in America. I cannot stand to think of one our citizens being wrongfully incarcerated. I would give Mexico exactly four hours to make a decision to free our citizen or I would invade that frigging jail and take him back to our soil. No good, innocent American would be rotting on foreign soil on my watch.
Or do like their saying and ban travel to Mexico or greatly discourage it till they get the act together. Had a guy drive his mustang rental car into Mexico for the day and on his way out got pulled over by a cop which said he was not allowed to bring that car into the country and he was going to confiscate it from him and make them walk the last few miles to the boarder. Scared the piss out of him and he was a cop. Not sure how he got out of it.
