Besides the easy travel, why not other southern cities as well. Dallas, Jacksonville, Nashville, Tampa, Houston etc...?
Jacksonville already failed hosting a SB. Dallas and Houston are way too spread out. I think Nashville could work, but you still have a chance for bad weather.
You don't remember everyone *****ing about how there was nothing to do, transportation was awful, etc?
No, I was watching the game. Nothing to do?? They are going to the Super Bowl, I'd think that would suffice as enough entertainment for me.
You wouldn't be interested in doing other fun things the day before or anything? Just going to chill in your hotel room? Eat at McDonalds?
Why not just build a sports complex in Las Vegas??? Supposed to be 67 and sunny on Sunday. Seems like the perfect location.
Hell no it shouldn't. Football should ALWAYS be played outside. Damn dome stadiums making wimps out of fans. I say put it outside up north more often. Just think what it would do for the economy of Cleveland or Green Bay or Chicago.
nobody wants to go to Cleveland or Green Bay ever, no one certainly wants to go to Chicago during the winter.
Minny has a new stadium going up in 2015 or 2016. The plan isnt completely drawn yet, but it looks like a retractable roof will be apart of it. With that said, the Vikings representatives announced they will be applying to get the Super Bowl game in 2018, 2019 and 2020. I think it can happen, I think it will happen.
I guarantee that would change if they went to a home field advantage Super Bowl. Everyone knows that will never happen, but I guarantee if they made it affordable and let a true home crowd advantage transpire like te rest of the playoffs turn out would be no different. It's all about marketing and money and having plenty of time to make the most amount of money. If weather and crowd participation can make the difference in the playoffs it should hold true for the Super Bowl. I know it will never happen, but you can never guarantee the weather no matter which region you are in. Severe weather is rather common in the southern states during the late winter as the air masses collide. How many AFC/NFC championship games have been busts due to weather? The ice bowl is probably the most legendary game to date. It's not the casual fan, it's the rich pansies. Fans still attend, but not many are true team in the Super Bowl fans. They're football fans that can afford to travel and go for the game, not the team. The remainder are celebrities just wanting to "be there" because of their status. It will never change, but I think it should. If not why have home field for the playoffs? Weather can be just as detrimental. Also, I quoted your post, but not all comments are directed towards you, I ended up ranting
Incorrect. You do not want to go there. The average joe blow beer drinking American male wouldnt mind. Huge differance. (Well maybe not Chicago lol) Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
That's where I stand. Unless I win tickets, to which I would have to enter, I won't attend. My main point is do not say that fans will not travel or participate for detrimental weather games. Other than a couple hurricanes and 9/11 I can't remember a rescheduling of regular season games. Now, when is the last playoff game that wasn't sold out regardless of location. With that answer, when was the last playoff game that was postponed? The bigger the game the less likely it is to happen. The sure bowl is not for the casual or team fan. It is the game everyone wants to attend but only the local or wealthy can afford to attend. If we,re going to alternate between two locations to have it why not sell seasonal Super Bowl tickets. Good for every other year. Arizona had a good Super Bowl, their weather is pretty consistent for the most part. They should have a guaranteed game before NO or Miami. I would place Miami second on the list.
It should be held in only cities South of the Carolinas. How about San Francisco.... lots of good food. LOL I take it back, Seattle gets rain but rarely snow. Now there's lots of food and hotels there. LOL
.....maybe they should hold the Super Bowl in a stadium with power... Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
