Polian looked like a genius until Manning got hurt and then we saw he did a crappy job. When Rodgers is gone I think we will see the same thing from TT. I am a Pats and BB fan but BB should walk away when Brady leaves. The best QB's make the rest of the team look better than they are.

TT will just draft the next coming of QB's again and then walk away.

You have 10x the chance of shooting a MONSTER whitetail than TT has of getting you a third straight HOF QB!

If TT is as great as every one says hope shouldn't be a factor. With that said you better hope!!!

One thing the Ted and the Packers have been really good at is managing the cap. The way teams typically get in trouble with free agent signings is by putting to much of the money in signing bonuses. Packers have been good at using current money and Roster Bonuses to get the players their money without having to spread as much out to future years. They can probably sign two good FA and be able to give them contracts with 35-45million in guaranteed money and not tie their hands for the future as long as those signed don't decide to retire.

Do Packer fans expect to win the super bowl every year?

You could point to 80% of the super bowl teams and say that without their QB the team would be awful.

Get greedy and see what happens. Replace him with an earlier version of Jerry Jones. Have fun! :tu:

While he doesn't hesitate to do this, he doesn't always. Traded up to grab Clay and then Jermichael as well...he does it, but unlike others he sees the value of holding and drafting more than mortgaging a draft for one unless absolutely sure you are 100% right in it (Clay was a prime example).
None that fit a need GB has. GB only has two glaring holes...an athletic ILB that can cover...and an offensive quick TE. Those are the only two positions worth TT and team spending serious coinage on...otherwise it isn't wise or needed to put down some serious money on FAs outside our own walls. Now I do see us possibly adding like a Bilal Powell at RB perhaps depending on Starks situation...or bringing in a backup OL with starting experience or a young upcoming one that hasn't panned out elsewhere. Don't be shocked too if Raji is let go (which is a win in FA for us I think because his value isn't worth the money he'd get with Pennel, Boyd, Ringo and Daniels)

FA isn't usually won by those that sign the "BIG" overpaid FAs. It's won by the Ryan Pickett signings and 2nd wave guys...AND the thing TT does best; keep guys on the team by resigning them.

I kinda see unless another bolt of lighting hits TT making a switch in philosophy for awhile. When AR departs we hopefully will have a serviceable QB and can shift AR's salary expense by bolstering other positions...that I think is the more likely scenario...but I hope we fall into a Russel Wilson pick type :)

I think the Packers organization should do annual drawing each season of their pool of "stockholders". Pick 8 names. Those who are picked are invited to be in the draft war room for the corresponding season and come to a consensus through majority votes (Ted Thompson is the 9th vote) on who to draft, make trades, etc. I mean....what good is it to own a team if you aren't able to have any impute on who your players are? :)

Because it'd probably be idiots (yes our fan base has them) that want them to overpay for Forte as a backup...go out and sign every other big name free agent and would trade every pick for the #1 pick on a gamble..... :D

I like the Packers only because they are a small market team just like my Bills. Now if only we had a QB as good as Aaron.

Defense is the only reason they made the playoffs last year. If they need anything, it's a new offensive line. This line was Swiss cheese a lot of the time this year...

The defense gave up 361 yards per game and 22 points per game....that won't get you anywhere but the toilet bowl buddy

Analyze the games more though and begin to see how many times it was soft defense at the end of things that gave up large chunks. Also our red zone defense had a knack for keeping teams to field goals. I'd love to see a sub 20 point per game stat but with AR as our QB keeping opponents to 22 or less should result in a 10 win season every time in my opinion.

Has before. What I'm getting at is the Defense was good enough this year, if not the reason we won some games. Our offense sucked, but I don't suspect that will happen two years in a row. The DB's are solid and young, this next year they'll be better. The question is can we find a coverage ILB in FA or the draft. If so this team volts into the elite in my opinion.

In Wisconsin for a show so nice to be able to listen to sports talk radio and hear TT and Packer talk. I also took advantage of the wider selection at the lidz store to get a new Packers hat as well, I feel terrible about not buying it at the Packer pro shop but I had to have it.

May I suggest a service called the Internet. You can like stream shows and stuff over it even if you don't live in the area. It's pretty cool actually.
