Should make for an interesting Rose Bowl

Barry Alvarez, also known as the Emperor around these parts will dust off his whistle and coach the Wisconsin Badgers in the 99th Rose Bowl.

The emperor won three Rose Bowls and is in the Rose Bowl hall of fame. He hires and mentors his successor only to have him quit after losing two Rose Bowls before he coaches his third.

Now Alvarez will be going for his fourth Rose Bowl victory after a 7 year coaching hiatus.


Even if Wisconsin loses the game, to see Barry take that field once again is going to give me chills. Maybe we can win one of these now.

I admit the assistants will be handling most of the play calling and such. But what boost morally for these kids to have BA on the sidelines with them.

I'm pulling for Barry. I think they can do it. As far as anything else you say... God will get you and Santa isn't giving you squat. LOL
