Just my .02 I don't shoot over 30 yards when hunting, But I do practice out to 60 and keep them in a 3 inch group. I could see the use for a drop away if your are shooting competition, but for hunting you can't beat a WB. just my .02

I still use the WB. I have had a fall away rest before and dont mind them. I really like the WB for hunting. I have a son that dosent like the WB at all. He does group better with a fall away. With me it is about the same.
I havent had any problems with the WB. Like was said before if you are shooting well with what ever rest you have why change.

It's interesting that different people get different results when using a WB. For me, that's enough of a reason to not use them anymore. Don't get me wrong, they work as advertised as far as containment goes, but in a years time, I've had to replace three biscuits. At $17.00 a pop, I'd rather just spend that money once on a drop away rest and fix the minor things like a spring on them.

There are drop away rest that offer containment, and they reduce amount of contact on the arrow compared to a WB. Just doesn't make sense to me.

I have killed a lot of deer with a w/b rest on my bows and it just a rest that you dont have to think about in the field,it just works time and time again.
Great for stalking in the thick stuff and when it's time to shoot you can concentrate on the game not with your arrow and rest. Most deer are taken under 20 yards's and my bows shoot great to 30 yards so when it counts it's just one less thing to worry about and less $$

I have always used a WB since I started a few years back. I like the simplicity of it, it's less I have to worry about. I've thought about trying out a drop away in the past, maybe this year will be the year.

I'm in the middle of the same dilemna. Only had a bow less than a year. Have a WB. Seems to work fine for me. I started shooting in an archery league that is a 3d shoot at 25 yards. I seem to do just as good or better than most. No one else has a WB. I like the idea of a drop away with containment though and wonder if I could shoot better with it. Have heard from most people that the drop away is a must if you are shooting longer shots. Planning an antelope hunt this fall and think I will probably change because of the need for a longer shot.
