Had my trail camera setup for a few days but didn't catch anything.
However, there is a small water hole with tracks going to and from.
I also suspect there is a bedding area 100 yards away but I advent scouted it for fear of spooking.
I also noticed droppings in several places where the acorns have started to fall and mushrooms are sprouted.
Should I still hunt this area? Season opens Friday.

At least worth a sit especially if they are hitting the acorns. Are the acorns 100 yds from suspected bedding?

I would say it's about 100 yards. My stand is setup in a "circle" or large oaks where the actors are dropping.

Trail cams are far from perfect, I've often seen deer sign with no pics on my cam. Definitely hunt the area if you see fresh sign.

Trust your eyes. Doesn’t hurt to “burn” a hunt to observe in a spot you see what’s going on. It’s early in the season, get some real world results.
