I think with the high wind and rain, I will hold out and get out just after 12:00.

Man, first you are hunting the same spot. Now you are thinking like me. Sheesh.

I had exactly the same dilemma tonight. I decide to give it a break go out with a friend that I will be gun hunting with in 3 weeks, have some beers, tell some lies, rehash old stories and plan GFY camp 2009.

I am looking forward to sleeping in this morning because I am dead tired from working and hunting this week.

I can't hunt tomorrow night because of taking my son trick or treating.

I will be hitting it from sunrise to sunset Sunday because the weather looks great.

With high winds and rain the deer are likely to stay bedded.Especially the winds...Not going until the evening

I don't usually hunt winds over 15mph, one because deer activity greatly drops unless you are in thick stuff and two because shooting a bow in high winds is a loosing proposition. How many people in here have gone out and practiced on windy days, I for one can't stand how the wind keeps my bow moving on me.

I am sitting here typing instead of sitting in a tree. I am hoping the rain moves thru quick enough to get out this evening.

Hhmmmm to be honest I didn't even look at the wind, I was just trying to time the rain clearing out. Maybe I'll jsut hunt turkey in PA this evening.
This tip toe-ing around the weather is more difficult when its a 90 min drive to your hunting spot.

I bet It Is, makes It tough. I didn't go out this morning either, fricking winds whipping again and I only had one stand that was good for this wind. The problem Is I hunted this same stand twice already the last week so I figure I better stay out of there. I'm hoping for a NE or NW wind this evening, plan on sitting where I wounded my big boy 12 days ago. I haven't been there since.

So would you guys hunt a overnight 15 deg temperature drop, cloudy, and little or no rain but high winds at 20 mph?

If that's your forecast for tomorrow morning I'd would NOT miss it.

I am REALLY looking forward to tomorrow after this front moves off, even if still a little windy, the deer will be up and about.
