Someone has offered to trade me an Elite Pulse for my Mathews Helim. Me being into archery for just a year idk if this is a good trade on my end. Any advice????
If you shoot the Pulse and it shoots better for you, make the trade....if not it isnt even an option....IMO
I have the Heli-m...and its a fine enogh bow...it has a short valley which I dont like and I know the Elite has a solid back...I still prolly wouldnt make the trade though...especially sight unseen...Its not the devil you know, its the devil you dont know...
Figure that he may be getting rid of it cause he doesn't like the way it feels...You may be the same unless you shoot it. I wouldn't even consider an outside of the state trade unless we could meet up.
Yup, what everyone else is saying. If you can't shoot the bow to see how it feels, I wouldn't even consider the trade. What feels right to one person may not work for someone else! I ended up with the Chill R, my buddy didn't like it at all and ended up getting the RPM 360, and I didn't like that bow at all. That and a distance trade is no bueno unless you know for a fact that is the bow for you, which you gotta shoot first to figure out!
I personally like the elite pulse a great deal more than the helim. However it's all personal preference and if you don't like the pulse it would be bad for you. As everyone else said, if you don't know the condition or how it shoots I would recommend against trading until you can see it or shoot it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nope. Apologies for beating a dead horse, but if you can't meet at a range, look it over, shoot the bow, etc then it is not at all worth it. You could be getting a lemon, it could have cracked limbs, the cam could be completely off time. Keep shooting the Helim and if you really don't like it, find something local to trade it on, or just sell it and buy something new. The Helim has really retained its value, and you could easily sell it. Bare bow I would guess around 700 would be a decent price or 850 ish if you sell it with some accessories.
