Gun season opened in Minnesota this past weekend. At 7:45 in the morning I made my way to the milk plant to unload a load of milk off my milk truck. Its a 20 mile drive. In that drive I counted 10 different groups doing deer drives. Years ago I'd see half this many drives. It seems that's all most do around here now.
To get pumped up you can get this 2.5 hour long deer drive hunting video. Here is the promo:
It's not legal to Dog deer here in TN. I'm sure glad it is illegal as well...lol. Run into too many issues Trespassing. As far as deer drives, don't care as long as they don't do it on my property....lol. Not even sure if it's legal here on not. Not heard of anyone doing it.
The bullets ringing over their head as they are ducking and shooting ....if that isn't shocking to you ...not sure what else to say..... I've NEVER seen drives like that...
Man that promo was pretty bad, makes me want to watch the video just to see exactly what the hell is going on there. I've never seen run and gun rifle drives like that, seems sketchy. Looks like a fun area to do a drive though. I would prefer less running, less people, and shotguns with buckshot.
My one and only deer drive had bullets ringing over my head. That was enough for me. No more for this guy.
I don't think bullets going over people's head around here is that common but they sure do blast away in farm country until they are out of bullets or all the deer are not moving.
This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^. That is why I said what is it about that video that makes it so hard to defend? That is what a deer drive is like. Heck Steve has said earlier in this thread that bullets are wizzing over his head and he is stand hunting.
Bullsheet ......if they are, I'm against them ... I have been on many and they never looked like that
