Yes it should be. It is alot more fun that way. As a recent grad, it was pretty lame not having alcohol.

I vote for serving in the stadium. Revenue would increase enough to lower the ticket cost... right?? :fro:

I think NCAA's mindset is that it is a college environment filled with under age kids. While we all know they are drinking beforehand and after the games, NCAA takes the oblivious high ground by not serving alcohol during games so as not to condone drinking or providing alcohol to minors. Meanwhile the NCAA continues to exploit college athletes for billions of dollars by profiting from their lucrative tv contracts and refusing to provide any type of stipend to athletes to lessen the economic hardships I..ehh we had to suffer through while in college. OK off my soapbox but it is hypocritical.

We have 18 year olds fighting in wars overseas and prissy little college kids ( I was one, but not prissy :)) need to be "protected" from who, themselves?

Yes it should be allowed. More revenue for the school and higher level of enjoyment for me.

I don't see why people can't "have fun" without alcohol. I always get a kick out of the guys that act one way sober, then act like complete jackasses after they've had a couple beers. Then when they do something stupid they always say "well, I was drunk" as if that should excuse their actions for some reason. Anyway, I could care less if they serve or not because as much as we would like to think college sports is pure and about the "student athlete" we all know it's about the money. I say serve it, collect the revenue, give it to the NCAA and have the NCAA divide it evenly among all college athletes.

Its not about that a person can't have fun without a beer. I will still go and still enjoy myself. But having a cold one at a football game just feels right.

    It's a pretty stupid rule.

And plenty of people sneak alcohol into the stadiums anyways, so they are losing that revenue.

Yup when I went to UGA, my fraternity brothers and I would sneak alcohol in to the games. Was pretty funny having an IV bag taped to your side with the tube running down your arm to pour it into a stadium-bought Coke! Although, having to wear a blazer and shirt and tie for a game in the Georgia heat on top of drinking sure led to some rough days!
