Was at the Northeast fishing and show today. Got a chance to shoot the Matthews Halon. Damn that's a nice bow to shoot, smooth draw, very light holding weight and quiet when released. Wow!!

Would like the shoot the No-Cam now and then shoot a Elite Impulse to compare for a bow for next year.

Have a PSE Surge now and I like it, but if I could hold less back that would be nice.

The Halon is a sweet bow. I ordered a Halon 6 and I pick it up this week.

I cant wait to get mine as well. I ordered in January and should have it sometime in March. My No cam HTR at 55 pounds was shooting 242 fps with 392grain arrows. I might shoot the Halon at like 52-53 pounds to have an easier draw and still have more energy/flatter shooting

I have the Halon 6 60lbs (ordered in Dec, received in Jan). It is a very nice bow--smooth and quiet. You can't go wrong.

The Halon is a Dual Cam with No Cam technology. I think it's pretty decent to draw, pretty fast, solid backwall, holds well in shot, no vibration, and fairly quiet. It's not as smooth as No Cam and not nearly as quiet IMHO. However it is much faster and has a beefier feel to it. I think the grip is pretty decent also. A little different than the No Cam. The only thing I don't like is the short axle to axle, (but doesn't feel short on draw), The boxy feel, and the new lost camo. I would recommend this bow to someone though. :tu:

The Halon is a sweet bow but you might want to add to your list the Obsession Def-Con line up. They have both cable stop and lib stops. Have a valley and let off that rivals the Elite line up. If you have a dealer nearby I would at least try them.
