I went by my local proshop on Saturday and shot some bow. I was pretty surprised. None of them made me want to change from my Eliminator.

Mission Balistic: Everyone says this is a great bow. I shot it at my draw length(27) and 65 lbs. The draw was bad. I could draw it straight back but could really feel the cams turning over. It was pretty fast though.

Mathews Helim. This bow was great. shot it at a 28in draw length 65 lbs. Very accurate and very nice draw. Pretty good speed to, but it did not feel like a fast bow.

Mathews creed: I shot this bow at a 29 in draw length, which is 2 in too long for me. It was very fast and a nice draw. It drew better than the Balistic even with a longer draw length. It does not have a long valley.

Mathews zxt. Decent draw and speed but did not hold well at full draw.

Mission Riot: Very disappointed in this bow. Shot it about 55 lbs and the first half of the draw felt like 75 lbs.

I really wanted to shoot the Chill but they did not have one out when I was there.

Over all I think I will be keeping my mission eliminator for another year

If you get the chance test out some bowtechs, I really like their bows the best out of all that I have shot. But you made the right choice, why get a new bow if you like the one you have now better?

Any shop that won't set bows up to test at your specs, is not a shop I would consider purchasing from.

I wouldnt even consider a Bowtech anymore. Regardless of how well it shoots I think that Savage Arms is running them into the ground and wouldn't be surprised if they are gone soon. Company goes away so does your warranty and support.

I'm with Maxpetros, Whats up with Savage Arms?
I have 4 sons and my one son shots a Bowtech and loves it. My other two sons shot Mathews and love them. Me and my youngest son shot Hoyts. That Bowtech is fast.

Why do you think this? I just bought a bowtech, and am wondering if I'll be having issues.

Did you shoot more than mathews? don't get me wrong, I love my mathews, but give each bow it's fair chance. I imagine it wouldn't make that much of a difference, most single cam lovers don't like shooting dual cam bows no matter the brand.

    Either way...

So is there factual information that lead you to this conclusion or just the rumor mill, personal opinion? I'm not saying you're wrong or a hater, just that bowtech seems to be growing faster than ever and here you say they're running into the ground.

I'm good friends with the owner and was just grabbing bows and flinging arrows through them. I'm sure if I asked him too he would have helped me set them up, but I could see he was busy.

Anyway I was not planning on buying a bow then, I wanted to shoot those bows to see if I liked any of them enough to buy once the 2014 bows came in and the 2013 cost less. I didn't shoot the chill but I'll probably shoot it next time I'm there.

I'd like to try Hoyts or bowtechs but there are no shops around me that carry them.
