I think they make some pretty cool looking photos ... I'd rather have a headless turkey with no meat damage than a bird with feathers and/or internals strung through a wound cavity in the meat. To each their own I guess.
Im not only hunting in illinois i also hunt in indiana and georgia but i only get a month or so to do so. But do you guys know who cally morris is hes a world champion turkey bow hunter. He just published a ad saying this exactly the best shot to take on a turkey is a broadside body shot. He says aim at the gobblers thigh, which hits all his vital organs and breaks the legs so the bird cant fly. A turkey hit there with any broadhead, especially a wide cutting mechanical will die in seconds. Its recomended by him and over 12 other world champion archers.
This couldn't be any more true. This shot is way better then a high wing "vitals" shot. And on top of that is a lot easier to figure out where this spot is. IMO!
