Hey everybody, I stuck my second ever buck with a bow tonight! I'm waiting now because I thought the shot was a little far back...after looking at the Video I think I saw the nockturnal flap backwards after it hit, which made it look farther back than it was. Take a look at my Tactacam video and let me know when I should start tracking!

    Thanks!

Hard to tell where it actually hit. If I were you I'd pick the safe route and back out until morning. Hope you get him!

This is the best angle I got. I would like JPT said till morning. How much penetration did you get because if the arrow flopped back it probably wasn't a ton? [IMG]

Looked back to me. Looked like he took another step being you didn't stop him first. Hard to tell from that cam. Did you get the film on the other cam?

Definitely looks a bit back, could be liver though.

Doing this on my phone so not real good. Temps are good, predators should be yor only concern to let him lay and pick it up tomorrow

Give it 6 hours from hit to be safe. If you find a bed, back out till morning. Bring a roll of tp for direction. Your bow is way out of tune with that corkscrew arrow flight tho. Fixed blade or expandable?

I appreciate the advice! I did get a better still shot on the other camera but I can't get a solid upload...think I hit a rib on the backside maybe.? I'll just be patient...

I thought the same about the cork screw. Then I thought it might have been the shaking of the camera at the shot but I believe you're out of tune and a big reason for the poor penetration

Definitely back and I would wait until morning.

This is the point of impact near as I can tell. Your footage should be better then what we see on youtube!

Arrow spine is wrong or a badly tuned bow.

Fletching contact could be the issue as well.

What does cause the arrow to cork screw? The shot did look like it hit a lil back but I think its a dead deer wait till morning u ll find him.

I think if it was a fletching issue it would recover. It never did... There is certainly a issue. Makes it really difficult to know where the exact point of impact was. Looked like a sidewinder missile all the way in!

Yikes. Probably the worst reviews on Cabelas of any bh. I have intimate experience with bloodrunners last year. One of our guys wounded 2 nice bucks with them. My Son dumped the first book buck 9 days later. I burned my rut tag on the second as he was not surviving the winter. They deflected on impact with pathetic penetration. Get muzzy, hellrazors or montecs.

Not with a fixed blade up front. They will take over and all hell breaks loose then.
