Our club had our first bow tournament today. I finished 2nd out of 7. We did a 16 target course. 12 were targets set up at an unknown distance. The distances on these ranged from 10-60 yds. The last 4 were targets that were 10, 20, 30, & 40 yds from an elevated platform. 2 shots on each target. the target had an 8,9,10 rings with an 11 pt bullseye. If you missed the 8 rings then it counted as 0. So a perfect score was 352 pts. I scored a 248. The guy who won scored a 261. I think i did pretty good. I only practice out to about 40 yds and there were 3 targets that were way past that. On those 3 i pulled out a first shot 0 then the 2nd shot was either a 9 or 10. towards the end i pulled 2 shots due to my arm starting to get a little tired. So i could have done better but I am happy with my finish. Never thought i could hit a target at 60 yds! I was a little surprised with those long shots on how well i did but i still won't take an animal over 30 yds at this point.

Very nice shooting. I would like to do one of the archery shoots here, but usually have other commitments that day.
