On October 14th. My cameraman and I got out to our set at 4:30. We were running late, I had class till 4. Well, we were all set up by 4:30. At 5:00 we saw a fork horn and a doe come out of the corn field to the south of us. They didn't stick around long and they walk off into the woods. At 5:45 my camera man tapped me on the head and said there were two does working their way towards us along the edge of the corn field. They came into 30 yards and then the second doe walk right too us at 10 yards and I sent a blood runner through her. She didn't go 50 yards and she expired. I turned around and gave my camera man a high five. We both were very excited. I shot my first deer on film and it was his first kill he had filmed. Then I looked back to where the other doe was standing and she was still there. I turned back around to my quiver and took an arrow and knocked it and got ready. The doe ended up coming down the same trail the other doe took and I shot her. She went off in the opposite direction and quickly expired!! It was a good night for my camera man and I. Now it is my turn to get behind the camera for awhile and hopefully we can get him a kill on film. The hunt will be air sometime in Jan., I will keep you guys posted!!
