Like Dan and others have said, wait till morning now. Go out at first light when you can see the whole story unfold.

    Good luck...sleep will come hard.

If it is a neck hit. (I just don't know how I would have missed there but I admit evidence is pointing in that direction. Will it be mortal? She probably will bleed out i would think.

If it's a neck hit, it appears as if you caught the femoral artery, is/will be mortal and you'll find her in the morn. Sleep well and we look forward to the pics. Don't dismiss the trackers if available.

Rob, if I still can't find her first thing in the morning I will call them. I just think it probably is a little late to be getting anyone out of bed for my deer. But thank you.

I think it is about time for me to hit the hay and try and get some sleep. Sounds like you guys think I will find her though. I hope if I did bump her she didn't go far.

Get some coffee in the morning, take your time, and bring something to mark the point of last blood if need be....GOOD luck in the morning.

Does the femoral artery run through the neck before it gets to the legs, Rob?

Hair? What kind of hair on you arrow and at point of impact. All brow? All white? Both? One more than the other? That is some dark blood. Blood of a muscle hit, but you did get a clean pass through and your arrow looks of a diaphram, intestine hit. Maybe, just maybe, you entered in the rear of the liver and out through the intestines. I'm just going off of your arrow and the looks of the blood on the ground.

    Good luck in the morning.

If I saw that much blood on the ground I would assume I had a dead deer waiting for me somewhere.

Well I'm out of bed. For a guy that can sleep through anything I got crap for sleep last night. I have a pot of coffee brewing and it is about time to go get her in about 20 min.

I will look more closely at that in the daylight this morning but I don't know right now. Good question.

Also it is 58 right now so I hope the meat is okay.
