    Rob,

Not being familiar with this would you suggest going in the morning with the trackers? Or call them now?

Yeh... wait till morning...then go after her EARLY. You should find her, If you don't I would consider giving one of those trackers a call.

Go back in the morning. At worst, you'll lose the tenderloins and possibly the shoulder/haunch from the side of the deer that was lying on the ground. (dirt will hold the heat in)

The arrow looks bad. A solid vital hit should show more blood. Did you have some type of waterproofing stuff on your fletch?

On the other hand, there's quite a bit of blood so that should give you some hope.

Is there a chance you hit her in the neck?

My take Is It's a flesh wound or lungs. 50 yards Isn't very far so anything Is possible yet. If her blood trail stops suddenly there's a good bet you do have a flesh wound then. Lets hope for the best that she's only a little farther ahead from where you stopped laying there dead.

    Best of luck!!

Give the tracker a call tonight so they can prepare, can tell you if they can come or not etc.... talk to them about everything that happened and he'll determine if he wants to come tonight or tomorrow morning. If he can't, maybe he can recommend someone that can. They are pretty much linked. If he can't, I can recommend a few others.

How much time has passed from shot to now.

Maybe I misunderstood, but did you only track for 50 yards, or did you go further?

One thing I want to add is I saw a lot of (for lack of a better term) spraying. What I mean by that is small droplets of blood a few feet away from where she was standing. Also some of the blood seems high. Here is what I am talking about.

Is that blood the point of impact or further on the trail?

I tracked for ~50 yards and pretty much ended back where I started. She circled. I then decided to get out.

Further on the trail. I would say this is 50 yards away.

With the spraying and the amount of blood there (I know deer have a lot of blood in them though lol) I don't see this deer still being alive right now.

Wait until morning. Your arrow has passed through something that has taken the blood off the fletches of your arrow if it had gone through the lungs. Possibly , the arrow exited through the diaphram and/or stomach causing the arrow to look like this. The blood looks like a large muscle hit, hence Christine's neck theory, Now, you are best off waiting until morning. Shouldn't be more than 150 yards if you hit it decent.

    Gotcha.

Like I said earlier, I'd wait until morning before going back out. No sense pushing it for no reason.

Good luck and I hope you find her!

Looks like the animal bedded down. It did lose a decent amount of blood though.

Let's keep in mind the first two pictures are probably a bed or like someone else said, her just standing there. The second two pictures are the norm.

Also when I say 50 yards I probaby mean 100 yards of total trail length (because she circled). 50 yards from where I shot her.
