A friend (Joe) of mine wants to go hunting so I got a bow off my a different buddy today. It's a Fred Bear RTX. I sold him this bow about 4 or 5 years ago. I gave it the once over and put a different rest on it. Took Joe out to shoot it while I shot my bow. Joe could only shoot it about 6 times set at 70 lbs. Kind of funny when he is 200lbs and lifts all the time. So I tell him "let me shoot it" 40 yrd. Bulls eye go up to 30 yards bulls eye. Now I'm thinking I should have kept that bow. lol. Looking at that bow and my new one, wow has technology changed. First time I shot it I hit the bull but the bow almost jumped out of my hand. It took me by surprise. The other thing, That thing is loud!! I remember back in the day comparing it to a friend Mathews (cant remember which one) and saying they shot and sounded similar. Just amazing how far bows have come in the last 9 years. So much smoother and quieter it almost unbelievable. You kind of forget how much nicer bows are today compared to years past until you shoot them side by side.
