This is a short film my buddy and I put together. It shows you everything from getting out of the truck to up in a tree, and then everything in between. I think it turned out pretty good. We are still really new at all of this but we love doing it. The videos can only get better from here. I would love it if I could get any advice or things you would change if you did it, I am open to anything because I know there are probably a lot of things we did wrong and we can improve. I hope you enjoy the video! https://vimeo.com/61058814[SUP][/SUP]
Nice Work Man. I would love to see you guys take one on film but to be just getting started you got it going on good quality shots keep up the good work and good hunting to you.
Nice job and I love you taste in music what are you editing your films with? I listen mostly to Pandora so I didn't know how mainstream that song was when I used it. I just saw tonight "Sail" is used in the intro of a new mine series on the Vikings. http://www.huntvids.com/video/4223/enjoying-the-hunt
We did the editing in power director 10. I also saw the song on the Viking commercial last night. I like the song and I think it fits good. Thank you for taking your time to look at my video
loved the beginning but turned if off once I notiiced you were up in a tree with no safety harness on. Don't care to watch stupidity.
Im with Ferg on this it is really stupid to go up a tree with out a harness on. I did watch the rest of the video. It all looked to set up and staged. You walked into the field with one arrow, and then rattling and grunting just didn't look natural to me if that makes any sense. Also throw an old broadhead on the end of the arrow make it look better if you are just out film "fake" events and want it to be as real as possible.
I agree with you guys on the safety harness. That was our fault. We always wear a safety harness when we hunt but we didn't when we did this. We were not thinking. I was actually wearing one while I was filming him but he didn't wear his. I noticed the one arrow also but I didn't notice it until we got to the stand so it was to late at that point. These are all things that will help in any other videos we make. Thank you for your opinions and views they are right on the money and we will for sure do those things different.
Not bad for your first video and you're youngsters so you have time to improve! :D What I noticed that need some work are the following: Some have already been stated; the lack of a harness, one arrow and no broadhead, no quiver, some scenes are with gloves and others are without. Climbing the stand and walking to your stand barehanded leaves tons of scent. The video looks like it was shot at 12 noon which is the worst time for filming light. It would be much more realistic and give a "hunting" feel if shot early or late in the day. Also, sitting in the stand with that much gear hanging around your neck would not be advisable when trying to shoot your bow. Just my $.02 worth. Looking forward to your next one, I'm sure it will be much better. I like the barbed wire shot and close looking up the arrow shaft when drawing the bow. Put a Muzzy on it! :D
Great start Preston! Keep after it. I just published out deer trailer today: http://www.huntography.com/blog/201...ing-dvd-video-trailer-deerhunting-bowhunting/ Hope you like it. Rudy Sent from my camo iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
