I noticed when looking at the GTG photos that some shot with their bow stand on the lower limb. I have often wondered if this affects the shot or hurts the bow. How many do this and do you use anything to stabilize the bow stand?

I just got one of them. Pretty neat. But a few months ago, at a club shoot at my 3D club, one guy in my group accidently shot with it on and cracked a bit of his limb. He puts it on where it bends on his MR7, so I think if you put it on where the limb doesn't bend, I don't think it would affect anything (and maybe help you hld steadier).

The only thing I would be worried about is that it might mess with the timing of bow due to the extra weight on the bottom limb

I've forgot mine on tons of shots unintentionally. Not sure it affected my shots any, although it made for an easy excuse when I realized it was there and made a bad shot. Haven't had any damage or anything. Personally I'm clueless if there's any potential for really bad to come from it or not. I don't try to leave it on ever just to not have an extra worry or variable, but its happened plenty.
