This time of year, I'm usually leaving for work before dawn and getting home after dark. I suspect I'm not alone. Shooting indoors at home is a non starter with the boss. Which leaves me a day or two a week outdoors to shoot (best case). What creative ideas do y'all have to try to get some regular (i.e. daily) shooting/practice/prep in? Note this is not intended to be exercise/strengthening but mechanics/simulations Thoughts I've had: •Blind bale - can do in the dark •Aiming/holding bow - I think this was Jim Burnworth's idea, a fix a laser pointer to the riser and practice holding on a spot •Adding some outdoor lighting on my range •Draw, hold, let down - a la John Dudleys 101 •Release practice/form - again homage to Dud. What else?
The hours of day light is increasing a little faster now so 6:00 is still light enough to shoot, just be a little patient.
Having one of these is nice when you can't actually shoot, but want to work the muscles involved. You'll never dry-fire.
