Well I shot this morning and was dead on. Waxed my string real good and took the blowdryer to it to melt the wax into the string real good, went to shoot a little while ago and was shooting consistently about 4 inches low at 20 yards. This is not the first time I have waxed my string by far but it is the first time I have used the blowdryer to melt it. Does anyone have any idea why it was doing this?

The wax did not cause the 4" low. Something else caused that. You probably moved the peep when you waxed the string.

That being said, the string did get heavier and that will cause you to shoot low (just not 4" at close distances)

What happens when you over wax is the string will constantly change and your impact will change with it.

That's the thing, I know for a fact that the peep did not move. I have it served in so tight I can't even force it to move a hair if I try. I put the same amount of wax on it as I normally do, only difference was I used a blowdryer to melt it instead of just using my fingers to rub it in.

The string didn't stretch did it? Or possibly a bump of the sight or rest?

I would never put heat to my strings. It is possible you lengthened the string a bit and changed things (tune).
