OK guys, last night I got the new bow set up with all the gear it will be wearing. Now I have to get the string shot in before I add the peep. I figure 50-75 shots and I'll be good.
Should I add a loop now or just shoot off the string and add the loop when I install the peep? And why do it now or why wait?

i would shoot with the loop from the start. i have no expertise or real reason other than it makes sense to me that if that's the way and set up you'll be shooting the bow with, do it right away. hopefully someone that has a mechanical reason will chime in :)

When dad got his Black Ice a couple years ago the guy at the pro shop I use said to put 250 shots though it. He installed the string loop and peep before dad started shooting, but both twisted ALOT. I'd suggest just shooting off the string with no loop or peep, but then again I'm not the greatest bow technician. Hopefully the more experienced guys can help ya out.

BTW, when are you going to post a picture of her all dressed up?:D

The last 3 bows I put new strings on I put the loop on right away without any issues. I wouldn't see why you wouldn't use the loop.
For me I pretty much have to, since I shoot a hook release.

When I replace string/cables I set everything up the way it will be shot. Shoot it a bunch and then check things and see if they need to be adjusted. Most times, due to high quality string/cables, no adjustments needed and when an adjustment is needed it is very small and a twist or can take care of it. Keep in mind that if you need to make any adjustment concerning the loop/nock set you can probably take care of it by moving the rest up/down a tiny fraction.
