I did some extra scouting today, and found that I am definetly set up on the wrong end of my field. There ar 3 places they are crossing the creek heavily. In those places, there is what I call natures tree stand. Its a rock that hangs out a good 4 feet, with a tree growing behind it for a back rest. Puts me 15-17 feet above the ground. Now forgive my ignorance here, but Ive always been a ground hunter. So where do I need t put an arrow, if the deer is 15 feet below me, only 10 yards or so out ?

    Please help my noobness.

Aim through the deer. Imagine where the arrow will come out on the other side.

Hence the saying, "Aim for the exit hole."

And the most important part of your question is......practice how you are going to play. Start practicing from elevation. Prove to yourself what you need to do through personal experience. You will notice you will have to bend your waist when shooting at a downward elevation of 15-17 feet. If you do not practice, at the moment of truth you might not execute perfect form and might botch the shot.

And to let it be known, the distance from on the ground, to on your rock, the distance to the deer is the same. It's different by like .03 or something. So not really something to worry about.
