I broke my left wrist (the hand I hold the bow with) in 2012 and it took about 6-8 months after I got my cast off before I was comfortable drawing my bow against it. I normally shoot 70 lbs so I started off backing it down to 60 lbs which helped IMMENSELY! The crazy thing is that because of the type of injury I sustained and how my fracture healed it shortened my draw length by one inch. I just didn’t over-do it as far as drawing against the wrist and as soon as I felt any discomfort at all I stopped shooting and let it rest.

Yep, that’s what you’re seeing. Very lucky. First hospital wanted to clip the flap of skin that was still attached and fit me with a hook.
Drove 2 hours in an ambulance to get it replanted. Even sold the lead surgeon a bow when it was over.
I am one lucky guy, God was looking out for me.
