At 60lbs and 28.5 in draw length will I have enough speed to shoot a mechanical or should I stick to a fixed broad head?....... I dont know if I'd have the speed to make a through and through shot?

Im pulling 50 lbs and shoot a 3 blade rage chisel tip. The last deer I shot I got a pass thru up until my vanes, so not all the way through but pretty darn close. The head opened perfectly and she piled up after 60 yards. I dont think you will have a problem.

I dont think you will have any problems with that set up. If you want to make the switch to a mechanical go for it!

No problem at all. I shoot rage with 60 pounds 29.5 inches and have had complete pass through every time except one. That was because it hit the opposing shoulder. 1 inch isn't gonna make much if any difference.
