If you want or need the meat... shoot the deer. If you are okay waiting for something bigger then definitely wait. We really enjoy venison so for me it would be "fwwwthmp."

i've not seen squadoo here in MO. the only buck I saw has been at best a 4 pointer. the body on the deer is huge, but his rack is pitiful. :) if he was legal tho, I'd shoot him. So to see a buck like the one you have would definitely be a "shooter" for me (i've not killed a deer with a Bow yet). Like they said tho, if you're looking for deer management and to grow trophies, let him walk.

Around here that would be a very respectable buck. I hunt south of Albany NY and there is an antler restriction this year...no less than 3 points on one side. They want to try to get the big buck population back. I would take that one in your picture in a heartbeat!

I think you need to shoot whatever makes you happy, so if you are happy with it than shoot him. If you want to shoot something bigger or older than you need to pass, and be OK with the possibility that someone else may shoot him. You can't control what others do, but you can control what you do. So ask yourself what do what out of your hunt? Good luck!
