Your hunting methodology needs changing if you need others opinions to harvest a deer or not....just saying bud. Good luck this season.
In my area, he is a shooter. I really like how is left brow tine curls back also. Im a trophy and meat hunter if that makes sense. But a trophy to me doesnt have to be a giant. As long as its a mature deer its a trophy in my eyes. 5 years ago I passed up a very nice 9pt to shoot a 5pt that was coming in behind him. He had a bigger body but an awesome rack. Typical 4pt on the left, and one really tall curly antler on the right. Very neat
I think it's the mount of the deer he shot. Go to the thread with the pic if the deer. see how the right brow is crooked on the dead deer? Now look in this pic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

See the G3-ish kicker on this thread's buck? not there on the dead one. For me...shooter all day on public land. On a lease? probably not. Especially if I planned on hunting the same parcel the following year.
Everyone hunts for their own reasons with their own goals and objectives. Shoot what makes YOU happy. Hunting isn't about outdoing everyone else or trying to please someone else's "trophy" appetite (whatever that means). Have fun and be safe!!
Yea I'm in Florida so my opinion may be biased, But I'd let it fly if I saw something even close to him
In my area I would shoot! We just don't see many big deer around where I hunt. To many people go by the old saying " If it is brown, it is down." The deer just don't get the chance to mature.
Not a shooter for me but that shouldn't have anything to do with your decision to take the shot. Good luck.
