    Unless he struck me as younger or smaller in person, considering it's a public land buck and I think he's at least 3.5...I'm probably shooting at him within 40 yards.

    I would shoot! I have never hunted public land (been blessed with family land and friends private properties) but depending on how many hunters you have in the area I cant imagine that deer making it out alive this season..

    I guess I will have to shoot then, but maybe only if its the end of the season. I just would really like to see him with 1 more year of growth! Thanks for the opinions.
