Hey all, I'm sorry I have no idea where this thread belongs.
I'm looking at getting rid of all my extra arrows I don't shoot and just sit around (so I can buy more arrows).

Has anyone shipped arrows? If so, how did you accomplish this? Was it really costly?

I have had 2 of the triangle USPS Priority boxes show up damaged from South Shore Archery. For that reason Jerry went to a regular old time dozen arrow box (3x6x36). I would use a 4" tube, rubber banned arrows and wrapped with something soft (pillow case/towel?) before one of those triangle boxes. Make sure you insure it.

I'd go with the rectangular box myself. I'd make little cardboard braces too. Cut two cardboard squares and pop each arrow through (use a FT). Braces help support the box & keep the arrows from rattling around.

    Something like this....

If you didn't want to mess with using a field tip, you could use a drill rip through the holes.

I've had several dozen sent to me in the last couple years in those boxes Wes. Never had an issue.

Cardboard is cardboard. Mishandling will cause damage regardless of shape

Ain't too worried about it really, those arrows are made to go through animals/bone etc....sure they can handle a couple bumps in a box....

We ship all of ours out through the store in the triangular boxes.
